Clean Matter was founded in 2021 to develop and commercialize the patented Power-to-P process technology for phosphorus recovery from biomass waste streams.
We are part of a corporate group which also includes BioAqua; a company which provides complete solutions for water treatment and purification, as well as Drying Matter, which provides innovative and sustainable solutions for emissions-free drying of sludge and biomass.
Phosphorus recovery across the world.
Clean Matter secures independent and local access to phosphorus. We recover phosphorus from incinerated sludge directly substituting mine phosphate rock. Our approach to extracting phosphorus is the only carbon negative solution as we use water and electrical energy.
We call our patented technology Power-to-P. Phosphorus is concentrated in the ashes where our Power-to-P technology can extract it through electrodialysis using pure green energy.

These ambitious goals require an active effort from the entire global community to lead to real change and not just end up as empty words. Clean Matter is deeply aware of its responsibility in this regard and has identified SDG 12 where we are particularly well placed to contribute.
